The Board are pleased to report that the result of the vote by WSSC members at our Second Special General Meeting (SGM) yesterday, 29th September 2020, was an enormous majority of members voting in favour of confirming our Special Resolution to convert to a company.
The actual votes cast were 382 in favour and one against. You can view the full voting results and read the email sent to all members today in the Members Area.
This completes the voting process. This result now means that WSSC will definitely be converting to a company very soon in order to protect our future. The Board wishes to thank all members for giving us your support at this critically important time in WSSC’s history.
Our next steps are to send the relevant paperwork to Companies House to register ourselves as a company and to the FCA to de-register ourselves as a cooperative. They will then respond to us in a few weeks’ time with the date for our final conversion from a cooperative to a company.
WSSC can now look forward to a secure future, and most importantly, to being a company which has deliberately chosen to operate according to cooperative values and principles.
